Necesito sacarme stash de encima, así que me puse manos a la obra con ésta lana que compré en AYKL para hacer de "ángel de la guarda" en uno de los Spanish Swaps, pero como el paquete llegó a su destinataria y me gustaba mucho este Azul Azul de Malabrigo, decidí quedármela sin saber qué uso darle.
Me puse a buscar algo que hacer con 150 yardas de lana, y encontré este patrón. Me gustó por que no es un calado al uso, lo encontré moderno y rápido de tejer, aunque no tanto como la autora... yo he tardado un poco más, aunque también es cierto que he añadido más vueltas que las que indica el patrón, se me hacía cortito y a mi me gusta llevar el cuello abrigado cuando empieza el mal tiempo... :)
En el patrón original dicen que lleva tres horas hacerlo, pero vamos, lo cierto es que eso es para manos expertas, para manos humanas y novatas como las mías ha llevado más tiempo :-P
El patrón es este:
3 Hour Cowl Pattern

Needle: size 10 circular, 12 or 16 inches
Yarn: heavy worsted, hand-dyed yarn, approx 120 yards

Instructions:
Cast on 76 stitches, join being careful not to twist.
Work k1,p1 rib for 3 rounds.
Round 1: knit
Round 2: *yo twice, k1. Repeat from * around.
Round 3: *slip yo's off of needle, slip k stitch; this stitch will now be elongated. Repeat from * 3 times for a total of 4 elongated stitches on the right needle. Slip the 4 stitches back onto the left needle. With the right needle, lift stitches 3 and 4 over stitches 1 and 2 to cross them. Stitches 3 and 4 are now in front, knit these 4 stitches. Repeat from * around.
Repeat rounds 1-3 five more times for a total of six repeats.
Work k1, p1 rib for 2 rounds.
Bind of loosely in k1, p1 rib. Weave in ends. Block lightly.
Work k1,p1 rib for 3 rounds.
Round 1: knit
